I Am Perfectly Calm is a couple of friends and cohorts hanging about and making music that challenges us. The ethos of the project is to turn and run screaming from anything that sounds like anything we've done before.

We (Tim Fairless & Elisha Sando) have known each other for so long that this really was inevitable.

To dig is to forget. Remember not the wind-blown afternoons on a tin roof, stuck under the eaves, alone in a sky so blue. Over the hill is far away, so far away from me. Sunlight sinks; rains are on the way. It's a war of worlds up here. There's us and there's them.

But what does any of this mean to you? Elisha is a vocalist, pianist, flautist & guitarist. Tim is a bassist, synthesizerist, guitarist & recordist.

I Am Perfectly Calm is an ongoing exploration of sound wrapped in the body of a pop single. It's songs about space, and missing yellow matchbox cars. It's songs about the tracks in the brain. It's heavy-handed.
